Eurocharm strives for harmonious labor relations, we value employees’ right to express their opinions and set up VPIC1 labor union or labor-management meetings in accordance with the local labor law to facilitate the communication channel of employees’ opinions. At the same time, the relevant department heads attend all regular meetings to fully communicate with labor representatives. We give priority to listening to the opinions of labor representatives on major labor issues, and the local top-level executives will discuss and negotiate with employees to reach a consensus to ensure harmonious labor relations and sustainable development of the company.

Minimum notice periods regarding operational changes

Eurocharm terminates a labor contract pursuant to Article 11 or the provisions of Article 13, the provisions set forth below shall govern the minimum period of advance notice:

  • Where a worker has worked continuously for more than 3 months but less than 1 year, the notice shall be given 10 days in advance.
  • Where a worker has worked continuously for more than 1 year but less than 3 years, the notice shall be given 20 days in advance.
  • Where a worker has worked continuously for more than 3 years, the notice shall be given 30 days in advance.
  • After receiving the advance notice referred to in the proceeding paragraph, a worker may, during hours of work, ask for leave of absence for the purpose of finding a new job. Such leave of absence may not exceed 2 work days per week. Wages shall be paid during such leave of absence.

There are two types of labor contracts signed by VPIC1 employees in Vietnam, respectively are limited term contracts and open term contracts. When a contract is unilaterally terminated, the proposing party must give advance notice, and the number of days of advance notice is 30 days for limited term contracts and 45 days for open term contracts.
