• For more than 20 years, VPIC1 has continued to devote time and effort in Vietnam, making good use of the local culture to manage and develop the overseas market, and at the same time, using its corporate power to exert influence to help improve the lives of residents in Vietnam. Examples include devoting earnings from holding a charity festival to the emergency aid funds for employees, caring for charitable events, donating bicycles to children in need, helping disadvantaged families before the Lunar New Year, and donating electric fans to underprivileged families in summer.
  • For the carrer development of our employees, the group has a complete training program, which includes pre-employment training, pre-employment professional training, on-the-job training (including senior managers), and professional skills training for employees to work in their current positions and acquire necessary skills for promotion.

  • The group complies with the “Act of Gender Equality in Employment” and the “Regulations for Implementing Unpaid Parental Leave for Raising Children” to provide employees with their rights and benefits related to parental leave for raising children.
  • Every year, the Group designates June and December as environmental awareness months, during which various energy-saving and carbon reduction policies are promoted to employees. Specific annual energy-saving targets are set for each production base; emission reduction results are tracked and publicly disclosed on the Company’s website. In 2022, Eurocharm officially introduced ISO 14064-1, the greenhouse gas emissions inventory and reporting system, which will be audited by a third-party, using last year as the base year.
  • Electricity saving is the Group’s primary goal for carbon reduction, and we continue to promote various energy saving plans. Setting 2022 as the base year, the group will continue to work on the efficiency of various resources, such as changing to indirect lighting to reduce demand for daytime lighting, changing the continuous furnace for melting aluminum ingots to centralized furnaces to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

  • In 2022, $84,120,000 has been invested in research and development, representing 1.05% of the net operating income. With the major direction toward introducing new production process and automatization, the Company will continue its investment in R&D resources. Our goal is to committee no less than 1.5% of the revenue and focus on enhancing “material professionalism” and “production process and technology”. Following our “demand for automation”, we will introduce automatic production procedure to increase the efficiency of manufacturing.
  • We have established a policy on recycling of water, electricity, and raw materials and set up a target and implementation method in accordance with ISO14001, which is posted on our website. The weight of general waste produced in 2022 was 782.51 tons, recyclable waste was 14,627.59 tons, and hazardous waste was 5,221.92 tons. Qualified removal and disposal agencies were entrusted to carry out waste removal and transportation operations. VPIC1 in Vietnam has set up a goal to reduce hazardous waste by 3% or more in 2023.
  • The group gradually starts to request our suppliers of raw materials to provide greenhouse gas inventory data, product carbon footprint, and specific greenhouse gas reduction measures and performance.
  • We gradually start to request our suppliers of raw materials to provide data on water use and wastewater discharge inventory as well as to learn the concept of water footprint, specific water resource management, and water pollution prevention plans.
  • The group follows the framework of Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures Proposal published by TCFD: governance, strategy, risk management, indicators, and targets to disclose climate-related information.
  • In recent years, global climate change has caused disasters such as windstorms, water shortages, floods, and transportation and communication disruptions. The Company requires its major suppliers of raw materials to prepare possible countermeasures to reduce the occurrence of accidents and the potential impact of supply disruptions.
  • In accordance with the Labor Standards Act and relevant government regulations, we have established “Working Rules”, “Procedures for Ethical Management and Guidelines for Conduct” and “Codes of Ethical Conduct”.
  • In accordance with the “Regulations Governing Establishment of Internal Control Systems by Public Companies”, Eurocharm Holdings has set up an audit office, which is responsible for auditing the Company’s management system and various operational processes and establishing an effective accounting system and internal control system.
  • The group strives for harmonious labor relations, respecting the right of employees to express their opinions. We have established VPIC1 trade unions and labor-management conferences in accordance with the labor laws of various local countries to unblock the communication channels for employee opinions. 100% of the employees in Vietnam are in the VPIC1 labor union and protected by the group agreement, which was signed by a representative on behalf of the labors. In addition, the chairman of the union is the labor representative; employers, managers, and the union hold regular meetings to fully communicate with each other.
  • As an employer, VPIC1 has a Safety Office to implement the occupational safety and health management system. We follow the labor laws and regulations, fulfill our corporate responsibilities, take care and protect employees, and formulate health/safety and environmental policies, as well as labor safety and health code. Labor safety and health meetings are held quarterly.
  • Relying on multilateral cooperation with other countries, we continue to develop new products and cultivate new customers through referral from the current customers to assist promoting the economic development of developing countries.
