Our company places significant efforts into the physical and mental health as well as safety management of our employees. In addition to complying with legal regulations, we provide regular health check-ups and conduct special examinations for employees engaged in specific operations. We foster a safety-conscious environment and implement diverse health care measures to establish a safe and healthy working environment, aiming to prevent occupational accidents and illnesses. Both in Taiwan and Vietnam, we follow local regulations to perform general health examinations and special health checks for hazards such as noise and toluene exposure. In 2022, a total of 4,714 employees in Taiwan and Vietnam underwent health check-ups, with 383 individuals receiving special examinations. There were no cases of employee deaths caused by work-related deterioration of physical or mental health last year. The examination results are presented in the following table.
Special Health Check Results (hearing, blood test for toluene level, etc.)
During the special health check-ups for employees at VPIC1 in Vietnam, it was discovered that 11 employees had abnormal hearing. The medical room arranged for professional examinations and notified the safety department and respective departments to cooperate in adjusting their positions, ensuring that the employees receive proper care and attention.
Provide Employee Health Counseling
While the pandemic had been alleviating, on September 21, 2022, Eurocharm employees in Taiwan underwent health check-ups. During this period, the hospital provided face-to-face consultations. After the examination reports were issued, employees with abnormalities were tracked and monitored according to their severity levels. Personal consultation physician information was also provided to the employees.
We encourage employees to engage in leisure activities after get off work. Therefore, there is a football field in the VPIC1 factory, and employees often go to the football field for friendly games after get off work. Therefore, we hold a women’s football match at the factory’s football field in April 2021 and men’s football match hold in October 2021. It makes health promotion deeply rooted in the hearts of employees, and we hope to move towards a healthy workplace with excellent performance in the future.

There is a football field in the VietnamVPIC1 facory. On July 2, 2022, we held the 11th Men’s Football Grand Final.

On October 15, 2022, VPIC1 held the Sports Day event at the Company’s square with badmington, volleyball, women’s football, and tug-of-war games. Many employees brought their families to the event; it was very lively and cheerful.
Maternity Protection Program
In compliance with the “Act of Gender Equality in Employment” and the “Regulations for Implementing Unpaid Parental Leave for Raising Children”, Eurocharm provides employees who have been onboard more than a year with the right to apply for unpaid parental leave before their children reach the age of three, up to a maximum of two years. Vietnam has no unpaid parental leave system. According to Article 139 of the Vietnam Labor Law, female workers are entitled to 6 months of maternity leave before and after childbirth, but the maternity leave before childbirth shall not exceed 2 months. There are 37 female employees who are eligible for maternity leave in 2022.
