
Since September 2022, VPIC1 in Vietnam and Eurocharm TW have been gradually implementing a systematic energy management system and established an “Energy Promotion Team” to review, implement, and improve management plans based on energy goals and responsibilities, ensuring timely execution and progress of the energy management plans as well as compliance with energy management system requirements. The Company has obtained ISO 50001 certification, following the ISO 50001 management system for energy management and control. This helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, thereby achieving energy-saving and carbon reduction goals.

Action Plans for Business Electric Vehicle
In August 2023, fuel-powered business vehicles were replaced with a Vinfast electric car, costing about NT$1,747 thousand (VDN 1,336 million). Calculated by the accumulated mileage of 36,000 kilometers in 2024, this change is estimated to save 20,912,000 Vietnamese Dong per month and reduce emissions by 5.01 tons of CO2e.

Investment in Energy-saving Equipment
In 2024, operational environment improvements were carried out across Vietnam factories, including the replacement of old air conditioning units. A total of 12 energy-saving air conditioners were purchased, with a total investment of 237,100,000 VND. This is expected to save approximately 806 kWh of electricity and reduce 0.55 ton of CO2e in 2024. The investment is planned to expand in 2025 with the installation of solar panels on the roof of Factory 6 to increase the use of green electricity.

In August 2024, VPIC1 in Vietnam successfully passed the ISO 50001:2018 third-party verification by BSI. Various preventive measures are being taken to fulfill our commitment to energy management for our customers.



Eurocharm TW added and revised a total of 4 procedures, and operational guidelines in 2024. Two action plans were initiated. After these are completed in 2025. On November 14, 2024, Eurocharm TW obtained ISO 50001:2018 third-party verification from SGS. To ensure the continuous improvement and effective implementation of the ISO 50001 energy management system.
